Teacher, 43, ‘romped with pupil, 14, who fathered her 4 children’ now says she’s a victim

Elizabeth Harbert

A TEACHER who allegedly sexually abused a schoolboy and later had four children by him has now claimed she is a victim.

Elizabeth Harbert, 43, allowed a 14-year-old boy to move into her and her then husband’s home after he left his grandma’s house back in 2005.

The alleged victim claims he had his first sexual encounter with the West Virginia educator when she was 30 and he was 14.
He also clams Harbert told him to think of her as “70% mum and 30% girlfriend”.

After the teacher got divorced in 2006, she continued to have sex with him while he was attending Wheeling Park High School – where she was working – and got pregnant with his child, a lawsuit claims.
A paternity test presented during the lawsuit by the alleged victim, now 28, claimed there is a 99.99% chance that he is the father of the eldest child.

The former pupil is suing Harbert, the Ohio County Board of Education and the ex-Wheeling Park headteacher, Christine Carder, claiming they knew of the abuse by a parent/ guardian figure.

They are charged on 11 counts including accusations of fraudulent concealment, sexual assault and harassment, wrongful birth, failure to report sexual crimes and causing emotional distress.

The alleged victim claims by bringing the lawsuit he will be able to continue having access to the children.
Herbert’s lawyer, Mark Kepple, responded by blasting the allegations as ‘salacious lies”
