To say that service to humanity is the primary focus of Rotary International is merely stating the obvious.
And because July is dedicated to Maternal and Child Health, the Rotary Club of Ekpan, District 9141, had in partnership with Rotary Club of Effurun, Rotary club of Effurun GRA, Rotary Club of Effurun Gateway dedicated July 26th, 2023 for a maternal and child health care project in which they provide medical apparatus, baby cots, curtains for the children’s wards as well as other non medical items to the Ekpan General Hospital, Ekpan.
On hand to receive the items was the matron of the hospital. The maternity ward, children’s wards and ante-natal wards were the main beneficiaries of the project.
Mothers and children in the hospital were very happy and appreciated the club for their kind gesture.
President of the Rotary club of Ekpan, Mrs. Isioma Omoregie said that in line with Rotary International mandate, while they continue to create hope in the world, it is important for them to appreciate the need of people in their community.
