Okon leads Nigerian 1-2-3 in 100m Switzerland World Athletics competition to break 38 year history.
He powered to a new Personal Best (PB) of 10.06s (0.0) to win the men’s 100m at the Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern.
He took the B race, running faster than his teammate Kanyinsola Ajayi, who eased down to win his own section and place 2nd overall in 10.09s.
Favour Ashe ran 10.16s to finish 3rd.
Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern, also known as Top Athletics Lucerne, is an annual track and field meet held in Lucerne, Switzerland, since 1987. It’s part of the World Athletics Continental Tour, providing athletes with opportunities to earn ranking points for major championships.
The event features various disciplines, including sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws, and wheelchair races, as well as junior competitions.
