Late Hubert Ogunde’s daughter dies

One of the daughters of late movie legend Hubert Adedeji Ogunde, Afolabi Ronke Kikiowo (nee Ogunde) joined her ancestors after a brief illness.
The passing on of the Mrs Afolabi the family claimed, has been a shock to many.
Folabi was born 14th April 1960 in Lagos to Late Chief Hubert Ogunde of
Ososa, Ijebu In Ogun State and Mrs Ibidun Seide Ode-Martins of Lagos Island.
She was the only surviving child of her living mother.
Afolabi was a widely traveled woman to many parts of the world including
Europe, the Middle East, Dubai, Asia, India, and many countries in Africa.
She Attended LadyLak Primary school in Alagomeji area of Yaba Lagis, after which she moved on to Premier College, Yaba and she finished in 1979. In 1985 she attended Sight and Sound Institutes for s
Secretaries’ studies at Ijaniki.
After secondary education, Afolabi worked briefly for two years in the Ministry
of Defence, Marina, Lagos. Folabi just like other children of Late Hubert
Ogunde, participated in so many stage shows, she also featured in some of her father’s Films which includes Aiye & Jaiyesimi.
She was also a pioneering member of the National Troupe of Nigeria lead by
Late Hubert Ogunde.
In 1988, she got married to Francis Folusho Kikiowo, after a brief period she
joined her husband fully in London. The Marriage was blessed with two children
Morenikeji Yetunde Okpanachi and Oluwaseun Temitope Kikiowo. She is also blessed With a Grand-Child by her daughter.
Folabi returned to Nigeria with her children in 1992. She ran a supermarket for a while then later joined her sister Mrs. Abosede Oloyede, the Founder and Proprietress of Hubert Ogunde Memorial School as an
Administrator.
In Furtherance of her faith, she enrolled at Lagos Anglican Bible College and Equipping the Saints. She was a member of The Good Women Society of the Saviours Chapel International. She is also a Confirmed member of the Anglican Communion.
