
For Last Eguavoen, a renowned film director, producer and the man who starred as Dr. Miromoro of Hotel De Jordan fame, the long rested Network drama series, Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 was set aside to serenade and celebrate his wife of immeasurable value, Mrs. Mabel Eguavoen who joined the golden club.
No cost was spared, too, to ensure that the shindig had all paraphernalia of a high society event.

The entire Eguavoen family of Benin City, friends, family and notable personalities were on hand at the Nicholas event centre in Ipaja area of Lagos, for the grand occasion. Mabel was out in style on her happy day.
Political bigwigs like Senators Mathew Urhoghide, Senator Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South in the 10th Assembly under the Labour Party led other big wigs like Prince Eweka and spouse from the Edo Royal House while the Nigerian movie industry was well represented by screen greats, such as Norbert Young, Soibifaa Dokubo, Steve Ogundele,

The climax of the ceremony was the cutting of the birthday cake which was presided over by Senator Urhoghide who chaired the occasion. This segment with fireworks added its own share of razzmatazz.


Earlier, there was a short documentary on the life of Mrs. Mabel Eguavoen, a mother of three, produced by Ex-students, Federal Polytechnic, Auchi Accountancy Dept. Class of 2001, to celebrate one of their own
The celebrant beamed with joy and happiness as she cut the giant cake in company of her husband, children and friends. Guests were treated to sumptuous meal, choice wine and good music from a dance band.


In his remark, Senator Imasuen described Mrs. Mabel Eguavoen as a virtuous woman and doting mother prayed for God’s protection and guidance as she journey’s on life’s road.
